Anyone who has gone spray tanning how long does it last and does it wash off in water?? how much does it cost?

Spray Tanning can give you a really good tan, but there are a few things to know....

Before you go to the salon, exfoliate. This will make your tan last longer and go on evenly.

Before you go into the booth, you will probably watch a video tutorial. It will advise you on how it all works. Watch it very closely, especially the instructions on how to towel off. That is by far the most important part.

Basically, you undress, apply a very thick lotion to your hands and feet to keep them from streaking, and cover your hair with something like a hairnet (they should provide one).

The actually spray portion only lasts a few minutes, and isn't very pleasant. Unlike tanning beds where you can relax and feel the sun (or the cancer) draining into you. You stand on a platform a few feet from the sprayer. You press a button and get in position. Hold your breath and close your eyes tight. It sprays up and down two or three times, filling the air with a pretty disgusting odor and a thick mist. There is a pause, during which you turn around, then it does the same to your back.

Step out of the booth and start toweling off. Start with your hands and feet to get all the lotion off. Make sure you wipe off all the lotion very well, between your fingers, toes, everywhere. Then wipe off your face, being careful to get your neck to. Then start with your upper body and work your way down. You will need to move quickly but make sure you are thorough. Use as many towels as you need. When you are done, go over any areas that feel tacky a second time. That's it you're done.

You are advised not to shower for at least four hours, however the best method is to wait until the next day to shower. It's best to schedule your appointment when you know you will be able to make this happen.

My tan usually lasts from 3-6 days. It will last longer if you avoid exfoliating and if you are cautious when showering. Although it will depend on the cost of living and demand in your area, I have found that it usually costs $20-30 per session, 20 if you buy several more like 30 if you do it one at a time. Hope this helps.Anyone who has gone spray tanning how long does it last and does it wash off in water?? how much does it cost?
Yes, i've gone. You buy it in a package. I think mine was 80.00 for 6 sessions. It's okay. It smells horrible. The only reason i do it, vs. doing it my self is that it can get my back. That's the only reason. Overall though, when i'm done with it, that's it, i won't do it again ( i have 3 sessions left). I'll get somebody to put the sunnless tanning lotion on my back.Anyone who has gone spray tanning how long does it last and does it wash off in water?? how much does it cost?
Check the on line ';yellow pages'; and call several places for rates and questions.
spray tanning only lasts about a week. it is used mostly for wedding and special occasions. it should not wash off in water. the cost for spray tanning is around 20-30 dollars a pop.
I got spray tanned once...it lasted for less than a week, you can't take a bath for like 8 hours after you get spray tanned and in my case, it didn't even make that much of a difference...and it costed like 80 bucks...
I did this last year before vacation and it worked out really well. You need to follow their instruction exactly. As I remember, each session only takes a few minutes. You just stand in the little booth, and it mists over you, then when you get out, you rub off the excess. I'm fair skinned and I got a nice, non-streaky, non orange tan in under a week. It lasted through my week long vacation. I can't remember what I paid. It's not cheap, but well worth it!
