Spray tanning or bed tanning ?

we have a big dance coming up in the next month for school %26amp;%26amp; i want to look tanner in my yellow dress ! my one friend is going to get a spray tan cause its hard for her to get tan . what are the chances of me looking orange when i get a spray tan ? ? or should i just stick with bed tanning because i tan pretty easily?Spray tanning or bed tanning ?
I would go to the tanning booth. With spray tan, you're taking a chance that you might turn orange. A tanning bed gives you good, even, natural looking color that lasts longer then a tanning bed. I don't tan really fast in the sun, but after going to the tanning booth 4 times i had really great color.

And lets face it, tanning beds aren't great for you, but neither is swimming out in the sun for 2 hours during the summer. Going to the tanning booth for a month will do little harm. Just don't make it an every day, year round routineSpray tanning or bed tanning ?
i would say go for the spray tan, but i have skin cancer from going to the tanning bed. spray tan is the safer of the two. if you do decide to go to the tanning bed, be sure to use tanning lotion that has spf in it. if you spray tan, exfoliate first.
i can honestly say i don't know what the chances are of you looking orange after a spray tan but i can tell you that you should do a spray tan because it is safer for you. the tanning bed are harmful and they can cause skin cancer so i think that you should go along with the spray tan to be safer
spray tanning is better trhan bed tanning as bed tanning can cause skin camcer but if you have a lot of dun you shoudl try and mak the most of it if you tan easily. spray tannign can makde you turn to orange

what i would actaully advise would be the graduall tanning cream such as johnsons nived dove etc all do these now

some people say they do not work but loadz of people that i know includin myself have used them and they work really well

basicall apply the cream like normal evrey night before you go to bed around 9 if you go asleep earler or later. the i the morning wash the area where you put the cream or if you put it over your body have a shower in the mornign insteda of in the night before applying the cream you should start to notice a tan within a week

if you tan easily though i woudl go for the darker option of the cream
Spray tanning is safer.
Neither, they both are unnatural, and unless you want to look like a barbie do neither.

For now I want to spray tan myself. But not sure where they have em. Pls help me outWhere can I get spraying tan at? And make sure it's not too expensive? Plz help?
Fill your tub with warm water. Dump in a bunch of cheap black tea. When it gets very dark bathe in it.

    Spray tanning vs tanning bed?

which is the better choice to get tan in ten days? :PSpray tanning vs tanning bed?
have you seen Final Destination 3??

i will NEVER use a tanning bed.

i use lotion, its quicker and easier.

the best kind i think is Jergens tan lotion, you put it on and in like an hour you can see the tan. but just wash your hands right after or they will turn orange other than that i've never had a problem with itSpray tanning vs tanning bed?
personally, i would do neither. the sunbed damages your skin and spray tan often is orange. why don't you try a gradual self tanner like johnsons or just a decent fake tan like fake bake? exfoiliate and moisturise before you apply it so it's not streaky, do the same if you choose to get a spray tan:)
well if your pale then your not going to get a goo tan from a tanning bed in ten days thats just not enough time bc u have to start out at 6-8 min an work you way up too 20 min or u will burn an it will be a waste of time an money. so in your case i would try to get s spray tan that will not turn you orange hope this helps
id choose a spray tan any day you go and get it and the tan is there the next day and it still looks totally natural and its less damaging
Spray tans su*k. They are uneven %26amp; turn you orange in spots. Check into airbrush tanning. Go the day before you need to go out. They are awesome %26amp; you choose your shade of darkness. They last about 7-10 days.
Tanning bed, the spray tan can come out really messy.
tanning bed, but you need to go more than once to change your color.

Is it ok to use Spray Self Tanner while pregnant?

I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant. :) Easter is coming up and I wanted to have a fresh glow this weekend for some of the parties, so I was wondering if anyone knows if it is ok to use spray, or any self tanner while you are pregnant? Thanks! :)

If it is okay, can anyone recommend any good, specifically spray self tanners that won't streak? :)Is it ok to use Spray Self Tanner while pregnant?
heck yeah put a glow on that preggers baby body:) long as your not inhaling it or using one with really harsh products ur good.Is it ok to use Spray Self Tanner while pregnant?
It is okay to use self tanner!!!! Although, I would recommend using a lotion based formula. The chemicals used in the aerosol cans can be harmful. And the amount dispensed in the air when spray tanning is a lot. Unless you have a well ventilated area and someone to help spray you down it is not a good idea! Good luck

Check out some of the self tanners at Avon on my website

    www.youravon.com/laceybeard

In two weeks we are coming out with a new gradual lotion based self tanner that smells amazing. It's made by mark and smells like watermelon and other enticing summer time fruits. I am addicted to self tanners and hate the smell. This you want to apply constantly just so you can smell it yourself. You can find it in the costa rica line!!!!!!! Enjoy=)
Using a lotion would be fine, but I wouldnt use a spray, because there are chemicals.

Spray tanning...? I need a good brand that doesn't turn you orange or smell bad!?

Hey everyone. Well I'm really bad at tanning outside, like all I really get is a sunburn. It kinda runs in my family because I'm mostly Czech and Irish I think and soo yeah, we don't get a good tan very easily. Lol. And besides, I don't want to tan all day outside because I don't want skin cancer! So I want to get a good brand of spray tan in a can that doesn't turn me all orange or smell bad. And isn't too expensive. Please help!! Thanks.Spray tanning...? I need a good brand that doesn't turn you orange or smell bad!?
Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Dejah on 6/29/2007 3:47:00 AM

I have tried alot of sunless tanners. I am VERY pale and need alittle color in the summer. L'Oreal Sublime Bronze (tinted) tanning lotion (that's really more like a light gel) works wonderfully. It gives an instant glow that is not too shimmery. The color developes quick and if applied properly does not streak. People always think that I've been to a tanning bed. If that tells you anything about the color. The price is good , but over all I think worth it considering that I get a pretty glow and get rid of my Casper complexion for awhile.

    Very good :)

    Tip:

Use a loofah sponge before using tanning lotion,it will help exfoliate. :)

Have a gr8 day!Spray tanning...? I need a good brand that doesn't turn you orange or smell bad!?
It probably will turn you orange because you lack the yellow undertone that most people have. They'll all smell a bit rusty because of the dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, in them. It's a carbohydrate, and the process of ';tanning'; is no different than when you cut an apple open and leave it exposed to air. It turns brown, and that's why (the proper term's the Maillard effect.)

These tanners work better on people who are already a light-medium tone or darker anyway. My mother is full Irish, and lacks that yellow undertone. She always turns orange when she uses any self-tanner. As for me, my father was full Native American, so I have a light olive complexion. They work fine for me with no orange appearance.

As for the moron who said it amounts to a chemical burn, that's a load of crap. Read what I said above, and crack a science book for once in your sorry life.
Dove's tanning lotion works good. But if you want to get a spray tan that works AMAZING go to Sephora, they only have one kind, it comes in a bottle that you can refill and that you could also decipher which amount you want, so if u want a natural glow, no prob it works, doesn't make u orange either. Good LUCK!!!
Don't have a direct answer for you. However, you are concerned about cancer from the sun, yet you want to subject yourself to what amounts to a chemical burn. Just a thought!!!!
look if you can do the mistic tan do that 3 times in 2 weeks and that will last about a month at your tanning salon but jergins tanning lotion takes bout a week and it does not turn you orange that is what worked for me you have to apply about 2 times a day
yeah. netragena is good. but all tanningg stuff turns you orange. and one huge tip is DONT GO SPRAY/MYSTIC TANNING. its a disasterrrr
Not sure what Smells good to you, but the Jergens Natural Glow Lotion smells descent and works well. Apply it almost every day perhaps after a shower. You just have to make sure to rub it in good so it doesnt look streaky ( that doesnt usually happen unless you pile it on tho... lol i was desperate for a tan once and just gobbed it on hahah don't do that )

Good Luck Hope it works for you if you try it.
This summer Victoria's Secret has an alliance with Model Co. and they're letting us sell their new Spray Tan line. The first item they have is a Spray Tan that lasts 2-2 1/2 weeks and it has a Tan remover that you can buy to go along with it. You use it in the shower, just like a shower gel, but it's got little scrubbers in it that remove the tan. The second one they have is a bronzer, granted it only lasts a day, it looks very nice and gives off a little bit of shimmer...(NOT glitter...you don't want to look like a 12 year old)*

A foot note on both of these products: they should ALWAYS be shaken up before you use them, and when you spray them, make sure you stand at least a foot away, so that you don't get blotches that look green or orange...yuck!

Both of these products are very nice items to have this summer, and are probably the safest way to go....But above all they both smell great!

    Good luck

Is it possible for me to tan without the sun or spray?

Im pretty pale and I was wondering if I can tan without tanning beds or sprays or the sun. I am Irish so I have fair skin and I burn easily. I am also on Accutane which makes my skin more susceptible to being burned. Just wanted to know if there was anything out there like a food or something that could help darken my skin just a bit. O yeah I heard a lot about the tanning pills and I know most of them are a scam and can be very dangerous/toxic.Is it possible for me to tan without the sun or spray?
There are lost of tanning creams you can buy.Is it possible for me to tan without the sun or spray?
I would recommend any of the moisturizers that have slight amounts of tanning ingredients in them. If you use them as a daily moisturizer you will build up a nice natural looking tan.

I recommend Jergens. They have a different kind for every skin tone. (Light/medium/dark)
Just use Jergen's or Dove tanning lotion

It's lotion that makes your skin darker within a week.

You just have to make sure your skin is dry after a shower, and once you apply it, let it dry for a minute.

lol, that's the only thing I can think of
are you stupid? like seriously mentally retarded? are you missing a few screws? do you ever even get screwed? do you know how to use a screw? and a hammer? stop.. hammer time! time time time... we have so little of it in this life.. is beautiful.. beauty and the beast.. mans a beast! tale as old as time.. time time time... we have so little of it in this life.... the circle of life.. the area of a circle is pi times the radius squared... youre a square.. you never get laid.. and your irish... top of the morning to you.... im on top of the world.. thats pretty high up... im high.. as pi in the sky with a fly... your flys down...
You are like the guy version of me haha. I would recommend the gradual tanning lotions they have. Try Jergens or Neutrogena.. it goes on like a daily moisturizer but each day, you'll get a little darker. Just be sure to follow directions and wash your hands after each application - you don't want to have orange hands!
try bronzing lotion, it takes them about 3 days to go into effect, but they really do make u darker. When u feel u r tan enuf just skip putting in on for a couple days. be sure 2 wash ur hands afta putting it on so ur hands don't turn orange.
At local drugtores and such as Rite Aide they have lotions they can help build a tan. They are very mild though. If you want a very nice even tan then go to a salon and pick up one of their lotions. I reccommend tripple X. It's very dark but builds a nice tan.
you're on accutane. a word of advice: stay away from any methods with UV then. unless you want skin cancer down the road that is.
    ?

Yeah just pray alot, then you`ll become a lovely oak colour after a couple of weeks.

ffs, could have guessed you were Irish.
...No. Eat a lot of carrots, you'll turn a lovely shade of orange. ;]
er... tanning makeup? lol i dunno.
    Uhm ya?

    No.

how else would people get tan??

    :D
    Maybe....how big is your microwave?

I used a sunless tanning spray last night please help!?

I used the spray last night and this morning it looks awful, is there anyway I can get it off?I used a sunless tanning spray last night please help!?
use an exfoliating bath wash and scrubI used a sunless tanning spray last night please help!?
Use a rough sponge (like from bath %26amp; body works) and scrub. Don't be too rough on your skin. It won't all come off but it will lighten it some.

Incase you are new to this, next time before you use it you should exfoliate well and do not use any kind of moisturizing lotion or body wash. I use my boyfriends bar soap since it is a bit drying. The tan will go on much more smooth this way. I use Neutrogena Micromist Tanning Sunless Spray. You don't rub it and it takes a few applications to get dark so since its gradual I never have a problem with streaks and such. Plus I can get my back.

If you are fearful of sunless tanners now, and thats understandable, there is a sunless tanner that is wash off by Sexy Hair Concepts called Aero Tan. It's a spray but you do have to rub it in so you would need help with your back, however, you see where it goes and the color is nice. Plus, it doesn't have that weird sunless tanner smell...it smells good and has a shimmer. It completely washes off with water and some may rub off on your clothes...don't wear white!

(however I did wear a white bra and the tanner came out in a regular wash)
I hear rubbing lemon (or lime) juice will help reduce and strip off the tanning solution without damaging your skin.
Lorael sublime bronze makes a self tanner remover, if you ask me it's the same thing as St. Ives Apricto scrub. Some people will tell you lemon juice but that won't work either. Really your best bet until it fades is to blend it with a cheap bronzing powder, try wet and wild, it's like a dollar and will help even things out. Putting on a lighter concealer will not work either. Trust me I'm the lord of self tanning lol. Good luck it should fade in a day or 2.

  • Does anyone know if its okay to get spray tanned while pregnant?.?

IM 34 WEEKS.IS IT OKAY TO GET SPRAY TANNED??Does anyone know if its okay to get spray tanned while pregnant?.?
Haaa.......its fine =] believe me!!!!!! I was blowing up my doctors voicemail the evening before I was to leave to go on vacation last year I wanted to get one soooo badly! He said it is totally safe. I had mine airbrushed and the girl said she does ALOT of pregnant people and that it is not a dye but a vegetable based product with lots of minerals to make it stick sooo totally non-toxic! Good luck %26amp; CONGRATS to you!Does anyone know if its okay to get spray tanned while pregnant?.?
I would play it safe and not do it if I were you. I wouldn't want to do anything that might risk the baby's health.
I would ask your doctor, but i would be careful not to breath in the fumes from it!
My doctor told me not to only because it gets into the body threw the skin and i guess some chemicals are bad.
Everybody's doctor says different stuff it seems. My doctor said it was okay. And I did some research on it and that getting through your skin stuff is crap. I got a spray tan... the only down side to it was that it faded unevenly haha!
Although there are no confirmed health risks, some studies have linked spray tanning during pregnancy to unexpected African American-ism in babies.
    Better consult your OB-Gyne dear.

    Question about spray tanning?

I've been thinking about going to one of those ';car wash'; spray tan places. Has anyone ever done this? Does the tan look natural? How long does it last? ANd how much did you pay? THanks!Question about spray tanning?
well, all i know is that after a few weeks, u hav to keep going back cuz it gets al splotchey and it looks orangeQuestion about spray tanning?
depends of the quality of the spray they use. the ones i've seen, they look natural, the only bad thing is that it does were off after you've showed a few times, and it usually doesn't come off evenly.

I am not exactly sure how you pay for that in america, but here (south america) with 20$ you can get a decent one.
It does not look natural. It only last for a week or so and it makes you feel stuffy. You can't shower for 24 hours after because it will wash off. It came off on my clothes too for the first day or two when perspiring.
There are different levels of tan that you can get.

Some are darker(which I think look fake) and some are more subtle, which is probably the best.

It can be sort of pricey depending on where you go...

I think a better alternative would be to get some home tanner, yourself.

There are some really awesome brands that make some authentic looking tan creams.

    I've used Jergens natural glow

Daily Moisturizer and it works great! You can just slather it on after you shower and you're getting moistureized at the sime time. Also they have a completely seperate one for you face, which really helps.

They come in different levels depending on how dark you wanna go! You dont get the full effect right away, instead it takes about a week to build up to your final shade. This is great, because you dont look like you all of a sudden changed color! And...you can monitor how dark you get so you dont get too dark.

ANY fake tan is better than a real tan! Just remember that. Taking care of your skin now will ensure that you have great skin later.

Also, another fake tanner to buy, that works AWESOME I hear, is Fake Bake...

You can buy it here :

    Good luck!
yes, and it worked pretty good ( san tropez- the on I like best) Be sure to either paint your nails or cover them with vaseline or soemthing, unless you are a fan of brown nails!! ( can you tell i didn't paint mine!

How do you remove sunless tanning spray?

The quickest way to remove it is by washing with soap and a washrag. The washrag is key. The quicker you wash after application, the better. If it's really set in, you can wash it away (to a hard to tell level) in about three or four days. How do you remove sunless tanning spray?
If it's the professional kind, you cant. It reacts with the pigments in your skin. It should wear off in 2 to 3 days though. How do you remove sunless tanning spray?
take a shower and SCRUBBB urself with soap or body wash..which ever you use..then when u r outtah the shower make sure u like rubb urself dry so u know all of the stuff came of..goood luck!
I've heard that you can put lemon juice on a cotton swab and wipe the tanning spray off, but I have never personally tried it. If you do try it, I would make sure to use lotion afterwards because lemon juice is very acidic, and I would imagine very drying.

    African americans getting spray tans?

Okay I hear about people getting spray tans all the time and it had me thinking about an african american getting one.

What would happen if an african american (both parent are black, not mixed) got a spray tan that was a shade lighter than their color or the same color?African americans getting spray tans?
they would get weird looks at the tanning salon but to answer your question it wont do muchAfrican americans getting spray tans?
It's actually works out very well if a black American decides to get a spray tan. However, it depends where on the body. Full body, yes, you can expect a shade darker (duh! lol), a shade lighter most likely won't show on the skin. But for those who have uneven skin tone, stretch marks, noticeable beauty marks, etc. a spray tan is an excellent alternative to cover up.
No it wont work it will only make you a different shade! You could use a spray tan to hide imperfections or even skin tone but as for lightening your actual color it won't work. You could try Belo Essentials whitening products they might help.... but I wouldn't worry too much about your skin tone ! Beauty comes in all colors :]
If it was lighter they would be lighter, if its the same color they are going to get darker, i thought that was common sense. Do you realize that African Americans tan naturally? I'm just wonderings cause a lot of people for w/e reason just don't know that.
it wouldnt be called ';tan'; the purpose of tanning to be darker..so in contrast getting lighter would be bleaching not tanning

Has anyone tried ModelCo spray self-tanner?

  • For people who have gotten spray tans before. . ? 10 POINTS!?

Im going to get a spray tan this Saturday,

but I'm going some where on Sunday.

    So the question is:

will the tan be orage or red or something?

Ad if it is how long does it take to get to a natural tan?For people who have gotten spray tans before. . ? 10 POINTS!?
When I got a spray tan I didnt look orange, and i'm a very pale person. Just make sure you get the right color (choices are 1, 2, 3..).

A problem i did have with the spray tan is botchiness. Make sure afterwars you pat away and dripping spray on your body. WASH YOUR HANDS afterwards. And before hand make sure you scrub ur body of dead skin cells.

Natural Tans take time, i wud suggest tanning beds, they work great for me. You will notice urself darker in 3 days. For people who have gotten spray tans before. . ? 10 POINTS!?
I can't say much about spray tans, but from what I heard, it can make you orange. Natural tans depend on the person. Me, I run a lot outside, but I see myself becoming tanner after a few days. Few of my other friends however need a lot of sun for a tan. Natural Tans are good for you, since sunlight on the skin creates Vitamin D, but EVERYTHING in MODERATION. Don't tan all the time, cause you can mess up your skin.
Just from experience, I would get it done at least 3 days before whatever event youre attending. It can make you orange and you need the 3 days for it to fade into a normal color.

Is tanning spray bad for you?

just wondering. and i'm pale too, would it work on me?Is tanning spray bad for you?
the spray isn't bad for you but the beds are. you can do it if you are pale just be careful because some products/salons will make you look orange. Is tanning spray bad for you?
yes it would work. but it's probably the worst thing you could possibly do for your skin and body. don't do it. i'm pale too; embrace it.
The spray is just fine. I highly recommend exfoliating before spraying
ask yourself this: would you rather be tan now...or have some serious skin wrinkles and age spots when you are older?

    Chlorine and spray tanning?

Is it true that chlorine will cause a spray tan to streak? I've read in several places that it will fade but I've also read that it will streak. Any truth to that?Chlorine and spray tanning?
I've never noticed it to streak. Just don't do it in the 1st 24hrs. It does fade it but that is b/c chlorine is drying. Oh, maybe people say it streaks b/c they dried off to rough? dab your self dry, don't rub!!! and moisturize as soon as you get out of the water. If you've never spay tanned before, listen to them when they say exfoliate before you get it done. The sprays are very drying, and make your skin flake a few days after. esp. your face. it sucks b/c it's orangey flakes and makes the rest of the tan uneven. exfoliate!!! and after you get it done, keep your skin moist!!!

    Question about spray tanning?

im extremely white and im gonna use some spray tanner but not to the point where it looks disgustingly fake orange.

my question is though.. im afraid to spray my face or put it on my face because i dont want to looks crappy.. but how do i not spray my face without leaving a line where i stopped?

same goes for hands.Question about spray tanning?
don't spray your face directly. spray it into your hand and then apply to face. blend with sponge. the scrub your hand slike crazy.

be sure to exfoliate your body before spraying!

i do my hands last- spong also. just on the very top of hands- not on the sides, not on the fingers. be careful around the wrist- use less bcause it absorbs more there

loreal sublime wipes are greatQuestion about spray tanning?
well i use lotion because i always get streaks ith spray i use the banana boat for all over and for the face i use neutrogena build a face tan so it takes longer to tan and isn't oily

    What is spray tanning like?

I'm interested in going spray tanning in the near future for a special occasion. I'm wondering what to expect and what to do before hand for the best results. Any incite you an offer would be great.

    Things I'm wondering about:

    What to wear

    How long will it last

Should I do anything to my skin before/afterWhat is spray tanning like?
Well every tanning salon is different :)

So just go to your nearest one, ask questions and maybe get a leaflet, and have a flick through.

The one i use, they do it by hand, with like a spray bottle thing, but its always great.

I've been to one previously and had streaks.

Go about 2 days before the special occasion - it lets it fade, look more natural, and if theres any streaks or problems you can sort it before the big day.

Wear sensible panties, and bra and wear ou hair up.

Old underwear as they will get stained,

and baggy clothes, so spray doesnt rub off.

Normally lasts about 9 days, but depends on products used.

You should go ask about it at the salon, find out everything so your prepared, get comfertable with the staff, and make yourself an appointment.

    Easy peasy!!

Have fun! What is spray tanning like?
    Disgusting,,,

    it smells bad ...

if you're really desperate for a tan,

then get one of those wash scrubs with a hint

    of fake tan in them,

that way, it will smell nice and also

    moisturize you well.

Avon has one but I forgot what its called.

Oh and of corse theres always the option of loving the skin you're in which in my opinion is the best option.

Could i spray salt water on me to go tanning outside?

will it help or will it make me itch??

im out of tanning lotion %26amp; i want some other things to use besides suntan lotion. any ideas?Could i spray salt water on me to go tanning outside?
You can consider alternatives like jergen's natural glow lotions- I've used them myself and I liked them (they don't make you orange like self-tanning products can). Safer for you!Could i spray salt water on me to go tanning outside?
    Salt water won't do anything.

    Use Olive Oil.

It's the best thing to use and will get you the darkest, the fastest ;]

The surface of normal skin has a different texture than that of a stretch marked skin. Not only is the stretch mark on a deeper layer, but its smoother and not as porous - so it will actually soak -less- of the spray tan than the rest of your skin.Does spray-tanning cover white stretch marks?
Please consider carboxytherapy for white stretch marks:

anybody who tells who to use bio-oil and vitamin e and all that crap, tell them save it...I have spent so much money on these things, do they work...Of course NOT! just excersive..drink lots of water, and eventually they will fade
No, exercise, healthy eating, and lotions does.
    I'm not sure.

But I would recommend Bio Oil, or some other product that fades the appearence of Stretch Marks....
    Yes.

On tyra they say that self tanner works on stretch marks! =)

    Does spray-tanning work?

With the upcoming summer season, I'd like to have a bit of a tan.

I don't tan naturally (but I don't burn either, so I can't complain XD) and wanted to try spray-tanning or self tanning cremes. Anybody ever used them or know if they work?

    Thanks!Does spray-tanning work?
If you can find a place that does personal spraying, do that! Its best if you have someone spraying you rather than a machine. That way its even and you dont have streaks

Theres always a chance of being orange though. Just depends on where you go.

I havent had luck with the lotions. They do turn you orange and its hard to see if its going on even. Plus your hands get really grossDoes spray-tanning work?
I used to work at a tanning salon, and we offered spray tan. it was really nice because we did it ourselves with an airbrush gun so we got it even. it was a bronze color and looked great.this was at Tan One. it lasted for about 2 weeks. however i got one 2 weeks ago at cincinnati tan , the Versa Spa. it worked nicely and lasted for about a week. make sure you exfoliate before doing anything like this though, and moisturize if you have dry skin. also jergans natural glow works awesome. just be careful around your knees and elbows, cause it tends to be harder to rub in there. hope it works for you =]
Yes! You need to experiment with them because some of them work differently on different skin tones. I use the lotions because with my experience they don't streak as bad as some sprays and foams. Some stores offer a refund if you aren't satisfied. Like Rite Aid so you can play around with them and see wich one you prefer.
i get a spary tan every couple of months and they work really well as long as you follow their instructions and maintain the properly =)

make sure you no where you are going thoo and you no what there tans are like or if you are using a home product you do a small patch test cause you dont want to turn into an orange =(

    xxxxx
From what I've seen and tried, no, or at least not as well. Many of them turn you an orangish color or tan unevenly.

Ive used spray tanning before, and I personally find it awful, instead of blending well with your skin it tends to get all patchy instead =S. I wouldn't recommend, but you may find it helpful =)
Jergens natural glow creme works really well. You can also get a spray tan done professionally for about 20-30 dollars. It lasts about 2 weeks and it doesn't look fake at all.
Well if youd like to look like an orange weird freak, than get all the fake tans you want. But if you would like to be normal looking stay away from them.

    So no, they dont work.
Spray tanning works but it doesn't last very long. They say about 7 days, but I think it only lasts for about 3-4. Its expensive for only lasting a couple days.
My old lady does spray tanning and she looks great. It isn't cheap though . . . I think I pay $135 for three months so she can use the place.
use jeregens natural glow! it works amazing, it's kinda slow but it deff wont leave you orange, it's really nice!
If you get it done at a tanning salon
Try A-Derma spray tanning oil! it works awesome for me.

hmm if you try any tanning products, be careful to wash your hands afterwards .. i've tryed the tantowels on hsn and they work great! but i'd give it a try because bannaboat sounds good(: hope it works out
Sweetie, don't use it, it will turn you orange like you wouldn't believe. try to find something by california tan, they usually only sell it in tanning saloons, but they have an air brush tanning bottle the is 25.00 and it is well worth it. I work at a tanning saloon and have seen many people come in after using bannana boat and they are orange. visit the website, www.californiatan.com or try www.thebettertan.com and they should help you
I havent personally used it but a friend of mine swears by that stuff and I love anything by Banana Boat so I might have to try it too!
If your just doing a small touch up job like that most any self tanner will work quicky. A dark one I know of which works fast is NO-AD.
i dont tan cuz im black,, bUt one of my friends got a spray tan %26amp;%26amp; she looked horrible! she looked like a orange oopa loopa! so yea,,i wouldnt do that if i were u

What's the best sunless tanning lotion or spray?

The best fake tan is JUNGLE BRONZE!

A lot of fake tans can make you look orange or streaky! I find sprays are the best not lotions, they gone on way more even!

Dove summer glow is OK if you want a gradual tan! Jungle Bronze turns into a deep brown colour within the hour and fully develops overnight! It smells amazing and it never streaks and NEVER turns orange!

The key to a perfect fake tan is EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE!!!!!!!! You prepare the skin by getting rid of dead skin cells. If you just apply tan over skin that hasn't been exfoliated you WILL get that dirty look!!!What's the best sunless tanning lotion or spray?
Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion works well for me. If you want a quick immediate tan, I'd go with Ella Bache Spray Tan, as it doesn't go orange, and its easy to smooth.

If you're going for the nice, even, GRADUAL tan, I'd go with Nivea Body ';Summer Beauty'; tanning lotion.

Good Luck :)What's the best sunless tanning lotion or spray?
All that kind of stuff makes ya look orange, if you just tan once a week would be alot better.
The most natural and not orange based is bee luscious

    1. Neutrogena Instant Bronze, Deep: This is a sunless tanner and instant bronzer in one product that comes in foam and lotion forms and in both medium and deep tones. It has a bronze tint that helps result in an even application since you can see where the cream is as you put it on.

    2. Fake Bake Self Tanner: You may be surprised to learn that this is the first choice of the likes of Madonna and Britney Spears when they need an instant tan. With their flawless looking bodies you would never know they were ';faking it';? This stuff is great and well worth the purchase.

The best ever is St. Tropez Autobronzant! If you spread it all over (its like a lotion) before bed and go to sleep, when you wake up and shower you have a gorgeous tan and it never streaks, looks orange, or smells. It's seriously like a miracle tanner. When I want a really deep lasting tan I use it 3 nights in a row and it actually looks like you've been sunning on a tropical island. Get it super cheap at this website! http://ballbeauty.com/st_tropez_auto_bro鈥?/a>

I've tried basically every other self tanner out there and this is by far the best.
I hate most of this stuff; you end up looking like a carrot and a total dumb ***. Jergens Natural Glow works wonders. It doesn't make you a whole different skin color (from Kirsten Dunst to Tyra Banks), but it gives your skin the appearance of a slight tan and shimmer. Plus it smells good!
I love sunless tanners! Okay, for your face I suggest getting FAKE BAKE for THE FACE self-tanner (www.fakebake.net) or just google it. Exfoliate with St. Ive's Abricot Scrub (drugstores and its super cheap like 3 dollars!) the night before and then apply the fake bake to your face and neck the morning... then apply a bronzer like estee lauder bronzing powder which is like a big compact for 30 bucks (last FOREVER! and its not orange and brown...and im super faired skin)

then for ur body u can use cheap stuff like loreal sublime glow which is so good and shimmery and i love it because its gradual so it wont be orange.
st tropez and beyond bronze fake bake are the way to go for me

buy st tropez off ebay for a bargain
Dove energy glow! You can get it for fair to medium skin or medium to dark skin. It gradually tans you and it moisturizes great too. I go to the tanning bed, but not very often, so this helps keep me tanned.
DON'T USE ANY OF THAT CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neither really, unless it's Mystic Tan.

Lotions, don't go on evenly and you can't get your back. They tend to cause streaking in addition to the real factors.

Tanning sprays allow for an even distribution but also can cause streaking when drying.

Personally airbrushing may be better, because it's professionally applied.

Sun tan lotion/sprays to cover up stretch marks?

yes, try the ones by Oriflame. It really works.Sun tan lotion/sprays to cover up stretch marks?
Hmmm idk. I think you should just put ALOT of Lotion on. Like Cocoa Butter.. right after u get out of the shower.. becuase ur skin tightens up when u dry ur legs.. then before u goto bed cuz ur skin stretches when ur sleeping since u sleeping different ways .. but i think u should goto a store and look for products for tanning.. thats waterproof..

  • Does Neutrogena micro mist sunless tanning spray turn you orange?

Yes. It is extremely orage. Only tanner that cost a little more can give you a better color since they offer beter ingredients. Clarins is great for a subtle tan. Shiseido is the best for a dark natural or a light natural tan. Check out your department store for samples, you won't be sorry. Although avoid Lancome since they are the same as L'Oreil.Does Neutrogena micro mist sunless tanning spray turn you orange?

Is it true spray tans give you a very uneven look, spots, & lines?

They can if you don't apply it right. Apply thin layers adn don't forget to exfoliate before application. Is it true spray tans give you a very uneven look, spots, %26amp; lines?
I have tried them and they do streak and made my legs slightly orangeIs it true spray tans give you a very uneven look, spots, %26amp; lines?
yes, and it also makes your palms orange.
It depends on if you have an actual person spray your tan on or if it's a booth. If you have a person do it, they tend to look better. Booths can look uneven and just like you rubbed on self-tanner.
    YES belive me!!!!!!!
I hate the orange look it gives girls. My ex-gf used to get it done and I think it looked unnatural. It smells like hell too after you get it done.
Yes it does I tried it once when it first came out and girl have never even touched the crap again, I looked like a pumpkin!!!
Not if you spray it evenly, but in about 2 days you will start to see streaks, becuase your skin sheds dead skin so you will need to reapply.
It depends on what brand you are using and how you are using it. The best way is to rub and spread the substance. Also, if you are too pale, the chances are that the color would not blend in easily. I suggest that you use Clarins self tanners. These are great for pale skins and they blend in easily-
Some of them do. I had one a couple of years ago. She did it by hand (not in the booth that blows it at you). It was great! It looked very natural and lasted a week.
if you rub it in the right way - no

and dont use spray tanning it makes you look orange

try using the sun and or that box-y thing on which you lay with those really bright lights
Well it is bad for skin i can tell you that
yes. they also make your hands orange and pretty much your whole body orange. dont do it.b
I personilay have never put it on..... But, people that I know did but they had a terible time with it....... So, yes is your answer to your question........

    Questions about spray tanning?

i want to get a spray tan for a vacation in a week.

i don't want my skin to be that much darker but i still need a tan.

at the tanning place i want to go to the people there spray it on themselves. its not a machine that sprays it. is that good? I REALLYdon'tt want to look orange, but since im not gonna try a much darker shade, that should be okay, right?

overall, is spray tanning: good or bad?

    and why?Questions about spray tanning?
a sparay tan is much better than uv light .. but i had one of my friends get a spray tan and it looked horrinble(uneven and blotchy) soo make sure u trust the person that is doing ur spray tan!Questions about spray tanning?
I love getting air brushed-I used to get it done for pageants and I had it done for my wedding. It is better then the beds and MUCH better then the spray booths that I find streak and look green.

Airbrushed tanning can last several days to 2 weeks depending upon how much you sweat, the oils in your skin, and how much you shower. Make sure you only pat dry. I also recommend getting the lotion most places have to put on after showers.

Make sure you put clear nail polish on your fingers and toe nails so your nails don't turn orangey-I find this happens with my toe nails.

Some places will insist that you put lotion on your elbows, knees, and heels while others say no- trust me-put lotion on. This will make your tan look the freshest.

Bring loose clothes with you-no bra and flip flops.

Make sure you exfoliate well the night before and shave or wax. The less you can shave with your tan, the longer it lasts.

Also think about how much you want to wear on your vacation. You don't want to wear granny panties during your tan and then have a smaller bathing suit on because you will see the tan lines.

I hope all this info helps.
spray tanning is not so good if you don't pay a good amount of $ for it.

if a person is doing it there might be a risk if they are not so good at it.

you may or may not look orange it depends on the skin type

if you go too dark it will leave highly! noticeable cut off marks at your wrists and ankles. like a 3 year old took crayons and colored tan.

overall the 2 ways to get tan are:

    tan outside and risk cancer

tan in a bed and be a cancer magnet

    or get a tanning lotion

the best tanning lotion is jergens if you really want a safe tan

because its not very effective but still gives a slight tan

i dont really know about the rest of them but glow and steady at bath and body works is pretty good too
    No,

Savannah put on some tanning lotion instead of spray, but still. She put on a little a day and soon she was orange! Lol i laughed. You don't wanna be orange so i wouldn't, everyone laughed at her, they could tell that it was fake.

Which gives better results Tanning beds or Spray on tans.?

I need a tan by this time next week, which would give me better results?Which gives better results Tanning beds or Spray on tans.?
Your best bet is probably a spray on tan but If you are kind of tan already then you could just tan in a bed. It will last longer and you are guaranteed of no streaking. Tanning beds are worse for your skin but if you are only worried about how the tan looks do a bed. I prefer a bed just because it last longer and I dont have to worry about up keep on a spray onWhich gives better results Tanning beds or Spray on tans.?
    probably the tanning bed

try the capsules where you stand
    tanning beds look more natural

spray on tans look orange on the skin..

    so...tanning beds
tanning beds just burn u and ull be wrinkled and shrively by the time ur 30. spray tan makes u blotchy....but i would say spray tan
the sun. you will get tan.

    Is spray tanning good?

My birthday party is saturday and thats the day after tomorrow. I was wondering if I got a spray tan at a place tomorrow. How long would it last? Would I come out dark? Is it a success for those of you that have done it?Is spray tanning good?
It lasts 1-2 weeks usually. Its better than buying a self tanner and doing it yourself, people do this professionally and a lot of celebrities do this instead of tanning beds since obviosly its better for your skin....don't listen to other people saying it will look orange because you know what if its done professionally it will look fine, they are just assuming that because a lot of self tanners from the store look orange. Is spray tanning good?
well you can get it done in different levels ( 1, 2, %26amp; 3 ) depending on your height.. i got it done last june for a party and i came out really orange on level 2.. ( im bout 5`5 )

the party was about 3 days after i had it done, and when i looked at the pictures i was bright orange and it looked pretty bad!! lol ..i wouldnt recommend getting it done tomorrow if your party is on saturday.. you dont wanna take any chances.. it looks better after a week or so when its about halfway faded and looks more natural..

but if you really want it.. i`d go with level one so it looks good for your party and you dont end up lookin like a bright orange oompa loompa in the pics =).. ( ps dont shower for like 6 hrs after you get it or it will come off .. and wear loose, dark clothing to the salon cuz u`ll most likely come out a little greasy )
Youll come out lookin like youve been tango'd

I love spray tans!!! Yes you can get in the mystic tan machines nude. I've always worn my makeup. They do have different levels of tan(you may have to ask im not sure they advertise this) I live in TX and think the average price is around $20-$30 for one or you can get a package deal at a better price. I would recommend moisturizing as much as possible to extend the life of your tan.GIRLS I NEED YOU ON THIS ONE! SPRAY TANNING HELP?

    Do spray tans actually work?

I want to have a nice tan this summer when I go to the beach. I have really fair skin so laying out in the sun to get a tan isn't really and option because I burn easily. I don't want to have to use a self tanner all over my body, because that will take too long. I want to know if a spray tan is a good option for a nice all over glow. If so, how much does it cost and how old do you have to be (I'm only 14)?Do spray tans actually work?
i'm 14 too and i got a spray tan when i was 13. it cost about 20 dollars.. i think..? i don't remember, but it wasn't expensive. either way though, it's totally not worth it. it makes you orange as anything and it looks really fake. if you want to get tan then just go tanning or deal with however your skin looks. spray tans are 100% a waste of money though.Do spray tans actually work?
Yes, I have a spray tan right now actually.

I love them, but becareful they are really addicting. Once you get one, you'll want another and another. LOL

Where I live they only cost 25 dollars and usually last for up to a week and a half. If you take care of it properly.

This doesn't leave you streaked like a self tanner would, and it's even and looks totally natural!

P.S---whoever got theres up above, had to get one down by a person who didn't know what they were doing. because my doesn't look ORANGE at all...it looks i've spent hours and hours in the tanning bed~!

Which self tanning lotion or spray is the best?

which one gives the darkest, most natural color and lasts longest? Anyone heard of Mystic Tan at tanning salons? Is it worth your money? Any suggestions guys?Which self tanning lotion or spray is the best?
i like the new banana boat gradual lotion. and of course the jergens gradual lotion

    much better than cancer

whoops, missed the mystic tan thing the first time.

Yes i've heard of mystic tan and my old roommate used to get it done and i thought it looked natural and she always got compliments. you just have to be sure to exfoliate/shave the day before, keep the proper stance in the booth and apparently ';pat'; ,not rub, dry. I think it is also going to depend on your base skin color as to how it looks. She is part latina, so of course it looks better than a pale ghost.Which self tanning lotion or spray is the best?
mystic tan turns you orange! use a product called bare bronze by victoria's secret. it won several awards. you get a natural sunkissed look gradually and its only $16. everything else pretty much turns you orange. good luck
None of them! Fake tanning is disgusting. You turn orange and then everybody laughs and makes fun of you. Guys prefer the natural look over the orange look anyways.
I know a self tanning lotion that works! It is called ';Jergens natural glow daily moisturizer.'; You can also buy ';Jergens natural glow FACE daily moisturizer.'; Try it! Hope this helps!
St. Tropaz Tanning Mousse is the best!! It gives you an even golden tan... :)

Make sure you exfoliate and then make sure you are completely dry... then start putting the lotion from the feet up.. I put it on all of my body and face and wait to to my hands last... I was my hands 3 to four times.. because it does tend to stain the hands.. now here is the important part... rinse your hands with Hydrogen Peroxide... (that is a secret to remove the remaining stains.. so you won't get yellow hands)

when you are rinsing it off.. make sure you keep the water on low.. so you won't splash.. once you are done.. put a little of the lotion on the back of your hands and rub it on to the other back of the hand and that way you won't re-stain your hands.. I have been complimented many of times for my tan and everyone is amazed when they find out it is from a bottle!!

    I hope this helps!!

    :)
I like Banana Boat for a quick tan, and Olay Body for a gradual tan.

    Good luck!
2 friends of mine did the spray tan last year, they hated it...they looked soooo orange %26amp; after a few days, it started flaking off in patches, which looked a bit like peeling paint...they both decided to go back to using the tanning bed...another friend uses the self-tanners, %26amp; she is very happy...she is super dark %26amp; swears by them!!! she layers jergens natural glow %26amp; banana boat sundial on her face, %26amp; the banana boat %26amp; l`oreal sublime glow on her body...she is not orange at all...the only drawback i can see is because she uses it every day, she spends about $30 a week or so on the stuff...she buys them at cvs, target, walmart, etc...hope this helps!!!
No it is not worth the money. They all streak and they all make you orange. Believe me I have tried them all. I suggest you get out in the sun or go to a tanning bed.

Im using st tropez self tanning spray, has anyone got any tips so i dont do it wrong?

make sure your exfoliate and moisurise before applying fake tanIm using st tropez self tanning spray, has anyone got any tips so i dont do it wrong?
Shave the day before applying to allow the skin to heal.

    Exfoliate before applying.

Moisturise everywhere before applying to create an even tan.

I guess practise makes perfect with fake tan, you'll find your own way of doing it well.

I use st tropez mousse and its great!

Who likes spray on tans and did they work for you? Any tips?

I think you have to consider the reason you're tanning to be able to really answer this question. If you're planning to go to Mexico and sit on the beaches down there, mist-n-tan probably isn't going to do you much good.

If you're trying to tan away scars or bruises, mist-n-tan probably isn't going work well for you either.

But, if you're going to prom or getting married or something, and aren't a regular at the tanning salon, then I guess, yeah--mist-n-tans are alright for the short term...Who likes spray on tans and did they work for you? Any tips?
they suck really bad cause you get an uneven coat or streaking everywhereWho likes spray on tans and did they work for you? Any tips?
Ugh....I have the same question! But I will share my experience here: I am very fair skinned and really wanted a tan one year. I used the stuff that was like a foam. It was awful! Any place you have dry skin, its dark and many many streaks! Plus, I looked like a carrot. If I did this again, I would look for a color that worked for fair skin. Also, I have thought of using the spray booths. Where you get it evenly. Thats a thought.

Will get tan sprays hide this?

Ok, I have a lot of freckles on my arms and legs, will getting some tan spray and spraying my arms and legs take them away? Also what are some good tan sprays that aren't to noticeable, and someone with freckles can use them, but won't make me look orange? Will get tan sprays hide this?
MOST Tan sprays will make you look orange.

if you want to make your freckles less visiable then i advise foundationWill get tan sprays hide this?
If you want to hide the freckles all the time a spray tan won't do it unless you are constantly getting them. They will only last a few days usually then start to fade. Freckles look cute anyways ;]
Like a girl said before me, spray tans tend to make your skin have an orange-ish tone. Actually, I personally would much rather see someone with freckles than orange skin. Try foundation if they really bother you.
most spray tans make you look orange and the freckles will only b hidden for like a week @ the most
I like a girl with freckles they look sexy (+ my gf has freckles and she's amazing)
Freckles can be really sexy. Don't hide them!

I've been thinking for awhile to get a sray tan, just to try it out.

please tell me in detail what i should and should do, before and after a spray tan. what can i do to make it last long? how many days do that last? What do you think about spray tans?

I just want to know from people who actually have had a spray tan.Anybody here get spray tans?
my friend has, and she kind of looked orange.Anybody here get spray tans?
NO THEY ARE BAD AND HIGHLY UNHEALTHY DON'T GET ONE!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!!

And plus you'll look like a 5ft. carrot. It turns your skin orange.
no, i really dont think i need it (i am already light tan)
No, white people (im assuming your white) or anyone who does not have NATURALLY tan skin looks STUPID WITH A TAN.

I wish girls would learn how dumb they look when they get a fake tan, it's just not classy.

Besides, you should love your natural skin colour. I am creamy pale and I am way way way more beautiful than any of the foolish girls walking around with fake tans.

Oh btw someone suggested try a tanning bed. DON'T they can give you even more skin cancers than lying out in the sun.

My partners grandmother has to go to the hospital around once a month to have skin cancers removed, as she was out in the sun so much as a younger woman with no protection. It is not nice. Her face recently was all horrible and burnt because she had to have lazer surgery.

Don't do it, you will look wrong with a tan anyway.
I did it once.. paid $60.00 and was yellow and streeky for two weeks.NEVER AGAIN
dont do it its a waist of tuime and money yu probley wont like it n -e- ways
I just had it done yesterday.. So, yeah, there is a process you need to know before you do it. First, exfoliate your whole body in the shower right before you go. (use a loofah, and a sugar scrub) Then go get ur spray tan immediately. Right after ur spray tan, wash ur hands..(so they won't b orange) Lastly, keep from scrubbing too hard on ur skin for a couple of weeks. The tan should last for 3 weeks.

    I love mine.. Enjoy!
i got one 2 summers ago, and it was pretty much the worst mistake i've ever made. i looked like an oompa loompa, and it was really streaky. i will never do it again!
yes people could tell its fake cuz its more of orange than tan dont try it do tanning beds good luck

    Anybody here get spray tans?

I've been thinking for awhile to get a sray tan, just to try it out.

please tell me in detail what i should and should do, before and after a spray tan. what can i do to make it last long? how many days do that last? What do you think about spray tans?

I just want to know from people who actually have had a spray tan.Anybody here get spray tans?

I did it once.. paid $60.00 and was yellow and streeky for two weeks.NEVER AGAIN
no, i really dont think i need it (i am already light tan)
NO THEY ARE BAD AND HIGHLY UNHEALTHY DON'T GET ONE!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!!

And plus you'll look like a 5ft. carrot. It turns your skin orange.

    Do you recommend spray tanning?

I've never been tanning - not to a tanning bed or spray tan. I am not crazy about the idea of tanning beds and probably won't do that. What are spray tans like? Are they an OK color? Some people look so orange - is that a spray tan? Is it expensive and how long does it last?

Thanks so muchDo you recommend spray tanning?
do the spray tan. If done CORRECTLY you should be fine I am unsure what kind of ones they have around your area, but where I live a friend of mine owns a tanning salon, and they have the newest, best spray tan technology, and I know other areas have got to have it as well (especailly if you live in a big city) they look great! they look natural, and dark. You do have to follow the instructions to make sure you don't streak and miss any spots though. Its healthier and lasts oh a week or two, depends. All the fair skinned celebrities use the spray tan.Do you recommend spray tanning?
yes spray tans make you look fake. and if you miss an area, it is soo noticable. they aren't that expensive though and they last about a month for me.

good luck!!! go natural. tan while excercising outside. best way!! wear sunscreen though!!!

Spray on tans or tanning lotions?

I'm considering getting a spray on tan for my wedding this summer, but I was hoping to hear from some of you that have already done this. I am very anti-tanning in the traditional sense (of laying in a tanning bed) but I would like to look tan for my wedding. My friend Ani advised me to do it a few months before the big day to see how it looks. Have you (that have done it) been happy with the results? How expensive is it? How long does it last? etc?Spray on tans or tanning lotions?
Suntan lotion. I had a friend use a spay-on tan and after a couple of days, you could see it starting to blotch. It's like it was running or something. I don't think the spray is very effective. I'm not sure how much it costs.

Why do you have to look tan for your wedding anyway?Spray on tans or tanning lotions?
I used to use lotions all the time , dove body glow, johnsons , you name it i tried it , they were all rubbish and uneven tans! so i bought myself some piz buin spray on tan, it works wonders!!! blends in soo easily and streak free! xx :) Lasts about 3 days and is about 6.99 :D
I've tried the Mystic tan, I usually do that when I want a nice tan for something, they say it lasts for a week but mine always lasted for about 3 days then it starts to streak and fade. I would definitely try it a few times before you do it on different weather conditions and what not. When you do do it for you wedding do it the day before as you aren't supposed to shower for 4 hours after you get it done and it smells badly.

I use lotions and what not and they are all the same. I get streaks around my ankles, knees, elbows, wrists, etc... I don't think anything is perfect. I will be doing the same for my wedding. I definitely think Mystic Tan is well worth a good tan for a one time special occasion but that's it. It is expensive about $30.00 or more a session so it is too expensive to use as your primary tanning situation.

    Good Luck.
Don't do either. Tanning is foolish.

Does tanning help make blemishes go away? Does spray tanning make them worse?

Tanning in a tanning bed can possibly clear blemishes as long as you do not tan too much. 2-3 days a week. Spray tanning just colors the skin which could make blemishes darker and or worse.

    Happy tanning. ;-)

    Long lasting spray tans?

I've been enquiring in some shops around where i live in England %26amp; some places do St Tropez ones and say they can last 2 -3 weeks, then others say 3-4 weeks, whereas people are saying the ones in the tanning shop last around 5 days :S any advice? thanks.Long lasting spray tans?

Has anyone used Neutrogena's MicroMist Tanning spray?

I just used it and I'm hoping I don't look like an orange Zebra when it's finished. I did a test spot and it seemed fine, but it's easy not to leave streaks when you just do one leg.

It's only supposed to make you 2 shades darker.Has anyone used Neutrogena's MicroMist Tanning spray?

Is it okay if I accidently inhaled some of that instant tanning spray stuff? I'm freaking out!!?

please answer right away!! I was spraying that brown sugar sugar coat spray tan and i was spraying it on my face and I am afriad that I inhaled some. Right now my throat feels really tight and I can't breahte that well, but that could be the result of an anxiety attack! someone please help!Is it okay if I accidently inhaled some of that instant tanning spray stuff? I'm freaking out!!?
Why the hell do you have to answer her in such a got damn rude manner! Obviously she's freaking out and your effin comments are not helping!

Whiteclouds gave you a good answer. Do that and go to the emergency room (if you want to, I doubt that'll be necessary.) Try to calm down cuz everything's gonna be ok!

For all this trouble you're going through, the tan better have came out great! lolIs it okay if I accidently inhaled some of that instant tanning spray stuff? I'm freaking out!!?
    Dont freak!

If you're concerned, call your doctor and go get checked out.
if you would shut up once and for all, you can maybe breathe
    dumbass
If it truly gets worse, it could be anaphylallaxic shock--a fancy way to say you are allergic and the throat tightens and you can have difficulty breathing--sometimes a rash, too. If you are not sure and you are panicking--dial 911--just to be safe--they can help you and the quicker the better. If all is OK--then NO problem. Read labels before you ever spray anything towards your face or on your skin---it is not uncommon to be allergic to stuff because of one or two of the items that are in the product--maybe a type of oil or something. (11 will ask questions on the phone--it is normal--just relax and answer clearly--do NOT panic--that doesn't help.RELAX__PLEASE
    your fine, shut up
If you are able to type a yahoo question I am sure you will be just fine.

You will seriously know when something is seriously wrong. Honestly, I don't know why you are spraying that **** on your face... that is not what it is for. Use cover up or a bronzer or something. Save that thing for your legs my friend,
Dont worry youre not going to die or anything.
Just calm down you should be fine
Your funny. If it was that dangerous they wouldn't have you spray it on your face! You will be just fine...unless you are allergic to the stuff in the spray and you have an allergic reaction. The feeling in the throat being tight sounds like the allergic thing, take Benadryl. If your thoat still feels tight and you can not breath emergency will give you a stronger dose of Benadryl. But, I think it is anixiety.
well does it say to call pioson control?
    shut the hell up dumbass
try to throw up then wash your mouth with listrine perhaps and do something to take your mind of it .

  • Used tanning spray and it turned out terrible?!?

i used tanning spray and only certain parts of my body turned tan and the other remained my natural color. Now my skin looks blotchy with tan parts. how can i fix this or get rid of it???Used tanning spray and it turned out terrible?!?
I'm not sure how I know this but it's logical to just use an exfoliator (i.e. St. Ives Apricot Scrub exfoliator bar of soap...my mom has it) while in the shower. After the shower I guess you could apply Jergens Skin Glow moisturizer-face and body (light-medium shade. Both the face and body is like $15). The reason behind this is to shed off the layers of your skin (spray tan probably only stains the first few layers), and then using Jergens to enhance your skin color and remove any blotchy spots.

I've never tried it but it'll prob work.

Can you shave when you use Supre Hempz Spray Tanning. ?

Whats the deal with spray tans?

i dont go get a pasty white spray so what the hell are people doing getting spray tans? what a fake world we live inWhats the deal with spray tans?
I have clients that are going through chemo, spray tan helps them look better and that makes them feel better. Some of my other clients get sprayed for special occasions. there are many reasons why people get spray tanned. If you use the proper percentage of DHA for your skin type, you won't look fake, streaky or orange. Everyone has a different idea of what gives them a sense of well being.

    Does spray tanning leave lines?

Like, does it leave lines under your butt or anywhere else? I think it does, not sure...Does spray tanning leave lines?
Uh...yeah it can. make sure it's a good one and once it's one DON'T TOUCH IT...it may not seem even to you but moving it around is what causes lines... I have never used it personally, I love the sun, but my friend has done that before and it's embarassing. good luckDoes spray tanning leave lines?
    It can.

If you're getting it done by a salon, make sure you listen to everything they tell you about caring for it and letting it fully dry and develop. Think of it as spray painting your body (you kinda are) - some places are going to be missed, some places are going to end up with more than others and some solution is going to end up in places it shouldn't be.

Just follow the salon's advice about how and where to stand and how to move to get an even tan. The majority of mistakes out there are simply because, for whatever reason, the client doesn't do what's suggested.
Yes it does because you are using a product that stain your body cells (melanine) so the spray goes where is clean skin and stains it.

I was wondering if I use a self tanner cream or spray in my wedding it would get my wedding dress dirty.

I used a self tanner once this spring, and then I went to soccer the next day. My soccer socks were completely stained! And not just the first day! It was continuous for 3 days!

If you use it 4-5 days in advance, it won't do much damage at all, if you're average.

I would advise getting it done at a salon, however.

No, just let it dry for a while before putting on your clothes.

Make sure to try it a couple times before the wedding to make sure it's a good tanner and you don't end up looking spotty =D

    Exfoliate first!

    Oh yeah, and congratulations!
u should go to a salon where they airbrush u because i used to self tan and my clothes did get dirty!! it sucks! even though i would let it dry my white shirts and bras and even socks especially if u sweat at all...no no honey i definately reccomend air brushing!
yes i had a white dress and put it on after i did the self tan, took my dress off and the whole inside was brown.Even the salon stuff does that if you want a good tan do it natural.

Why do self tan sprays leave a ';smell';?

Maybe I'm crazy but I've been using one of those self tanner sprays, and I've noticed my skin smells weird. Why is this? Is it some weird ingridient? Is there one without a smell? -The one I bought says it's ';supposedly'; odorless-Why do self tan sprays leave a ';smell';?
they have alcohol and other junk in it!

    they lied to me! liars!

    omg! liars!

lolWhy do self tan sprays leave a ';smell';?
WELL, THEY DO HAVE CHEMICALS IN THEM SO I SUPPOSE THAT IS THE REASON.
i've noticed that too, but i've only tried self tanner lotion. it left a weird ';Metal like'; smell, even though it was suppose to be odorless (this was the Loreal and other big brand name kinds). I stopped using it all together...i thought that was not normal and not good for my skin if it gave off that odor. Plus it just looks fake no matter what brand you use. I'll just stick to the real natural sun for now on with some light suncreen.
You should first take a shower to get rd of all those excess oils... Then you can moisturise your skin and voila! Lol... Well hope it works! (It did by me!)
Well those people will lie %26amp;%26amp; say anything to get you to buy their products. They put a lot of chemicals in those products, to make them tan your skin, you should put on a lotion that smells good but strong after you self-tan, wait for the spray to dry completely, then apply the lotion, I reccomend, a cucumber or melon type. They smell good and I am sure once you put it on you won't smell the tanning spray anymore. You will NOT find a self-tanning spray or lotion that is odor-less, they put way too many chemicals in it for it to be odorless
Because the self tanning spray are chemical - they turn your skin darker because it is a type of a chemical burn - thats why you have the funny smell.

What is the best way to get tan or to even out a farmer's tan without using lotions or sprays?

the sun is the best way but don't stay out to long

  • Opinions on professional (salon done-no at home) spray tanning.?

yeah, the title says most of it. opinions work just greatly.

How often would you go?Opinions on professional (salon done-no at home) spray tanning.?
if you go to a salon, you have to pay each time you go (or buy a package deal) which means you'll have to go more than once. i have a lot of friends who go to a salon and they'll come to school the next day and they're burnt cause they mistreated the tanning bed. haha they just spent too much time in the bed without realizing it. so it's kind of tricky to figure out how long your body needs in the bed to get the right tan, and in order to figure that our, you'll probably get burnt a few times.

my opinion is that you should just buy a moisturizer that has a natural bronzer in it. be careful with this though. some of the products are just bronzers. you need to get a moisturizer that is enriched with a bronzer. that doesn't really make any sense, haha, but hopefully you get it. don't get the product that says self-tanner cause those never work,. you'll have orange hands and all sorts of gross skin colors haha. don't put too much on either. you may want to be really tan, but it won't happen in one sitting. just apply the moisturizer daily and you'll get progressively darker.

hope that helps!Opinions on professional (salon done-no at home) spray tanning.?
    Thrice in a year!!
    never, youre gonna be orange

Does spraying yourself with water help you tan?

My sisters friend said u tan bettr if you squirt water on yourself as you layy outside is that true ?Does spraying yourself with water help you tan?
baby oil!!!!Does spraying yourself with water help you tan?
No, the best way to get a tan is to use sun tan lotion, but if you are very light start out using a little bit of sunscreen and as you get tanner use no sunscreen then start using sun tan lotion.

Why would you want a fake tan?

Do all spray tans make you orange?

    Not all of them

most of them turn u orange instead of bronzed because of the ingredients, overspraying, or rubbing in badly

just make sure u spray a decent amount and rub it in evenly and ALL THE WAY in so u dont turn out orange or like a candy cane! ;DDo all spray tans make you orange?
noDo all spray tans make you orange?

Does kate gosselin use spray tanning or a tanning bed?

that's a spray tan that i'm sure tlc pays for...they pay for everything else, including her whacked out hair cuts. that woman has serious psychological issues.Does kate gosselin use spray tanning or a tanning bed?
It looks like it is a spray tan. In Pennsylvania in the winter, it's hard to get that dark of a tan and I'm sure she doesn't have time to go to the tanning bed all the time.

The tan looked really bad in the season finale, but I think she's really taking pride in how she looks now that she's lost quite a bit of weight. In some older episodes (2007-2008)where she was doing the interview part, you could see she was sick and her skin was all red under her nose. She's probably seen older episodes and thought about how she looked. We all look healthier with a tan.

I don't understand how someone who is so into Organic and doing well for the Earth is such a sun goddess. She said she loves the sun and always burns so badly, it does horrible things for the skin...Does kate gosselin use spray tanning or a tanning bed?
It looks like it. It's all streaky....and on a previous episode she covered herself with sun block ( Hawaiian vacation) and said she just burned. She is going to have to go into rehab when that program ends.....she is so full of herself........
It is probably spray tan. It looks hideous!!!! TV has really turned her into a monster. She is so high maintenance now!! I can't even stand to look at her!! That oompa loompa look is awful!!
She has 8 kids! I definately think she gets spray tanned! And atleast she doin somethin instead of eating donuts 24/7 ranting on all the people u obbsess over! I am not tryin to start anything so I simply just say spraytan!
its something because she did not have that much color before. guess she has to look good for all her appearances while jon is home with the kids and earning a paycheck
Sure she does. Didn`t you know all the ';Stars'; use it ?

    !!!
idk, that would be stalkerish. haha. :D
Her tan looks awful and fake!
    idk..

Can anyone tell me the best spray self tanner i tried banana boat and it left me orange?

in my experience the gradual tanning kind worked best for some reason. it actually looked natural and not orange at all. maybe you could try jergens natural glow? it worked great for me :)Can anyone tell me the best spray self tanner i tried banana boat and it left me orange?
Okay, I'm pretty pale, but when I use Too Faced Tanning Bed in a Tube I look so tan. It's kind of pricey, but there's no smudges, it goes on bronze, and it smells wonderful (like coconuts and not at all like self tanner). A product to stay away from: Neutrogena Build A Tan left me orange and smudged. Can anyone tell me the best spray self tanner i tried banana boat and it left me orange?

  • Pros and Cons of Spray Tanning?

Before I became pregnant I use to go tanning but had to stop due to pregnancy. I just want to know the Pros and Cons of Spray Tanning and how does it work?Pros and Cons of Spray Tanning?
I had to stop tanning as well because my skin has started to freckle and get some damage on it, and I'm only in my twenties. I resolved to start spray tanning about a year ago and found that Mystic Tan booths are more expensive than doing it yourself; however, it takes less time than tanning everyday and it is healthy and I can get darker like that. I use the bronze mist premium and it costs about $65 a month. I hate getting in the booth though because when it spays you, it is so cold. I do like it better though than sweating my booty off in a tanning bed. Also, I look at these older women who are still sticking to their tanning regimen and their necks and their hands look all red and wrinkled and it's gross to me and I definitely want to avoid that look at all costs. I have to go about every four days and have to exfoliate the day before. I also use Mystic Fresh, which is a spray that you spray all over your body about an hour after you tan and it makes that terrible smell of fake tan go away. Also, you cannot get any water on you for about four hours. I usually get it done in the afternoon then shower the next morning so that I won't smell bad for too long. I have to say that even with the drawbacks of not being able to shower and the smell, the pros outweigh the cons. I don't have to spend half of my free time in a tanning bed and also it is a healthy way to look fabulous. When you go into the booth for the first time, tell the attendant that it's your first time to do the spray tanning and he/she will show you all the in's and out's of their particular place and they will tell you what to do.Pros and Cons of Spray Tanning?
The pros would be that it's really fast. You can get darker, faster than actually tanning.

The cons would be that it often looks fake, it can be expensive depending on where you go, it only last a week at most, and you're covering your body in chemicals.
    YOU WILL LOOK ORANGE!

it's gross, don't get it, they suck!
your gunna die would deffently would be a bad thing....but also it looks really fake!! :)
con- you will look like a tomato :D just go natural thats the best
